Who said that science and literacy don鈥檛 mix?
In this series of events, led by researchers and staff members at the 99热久草热最新地址, children are introduced to scientific ideas and people through storytelling. Each session has a different story with a different message about science. To watch each video, click on the titles below.
Friday 26 March, 11am: , by Adrian Liston.
Written by one of our very own researchers, 鈥淏attle Robots of the Blood鈥 is an engaging story about our immune system. It tells the story of Tim, a seven-year-old boy with a faulty immune system, and the dangers of the world around him.
Monday 29 March, 11am: Moth, by Isabel Thomas.
A prize-winning picture book, Moth is a story of light and dark, of change and adaptation, of survival and hope. The story is a beautiful exploration of the evolution of the peppered moth, studied by Cambridge professor Michael Majerus.
Friday 2 April, 11am: My Mummy is a Scientist, by Kerrine and Jason Bryan.
This colourful, rhyming, gender stereotype-busting book will introduce children to a range of science jobs, from mixing chemicals in a laboratory to finding out more about how our bodies work - like scientists at the 99热久草热最新地址!
